God is opening doors for Strong Tower to build our own church facility!

And we are making a strategic move to take full advantage of this opportunity.

pexels-jahoo-388415.jpg

Strong Tower has formed a Land Search Committee to find a suitable site on which to establish our church permanently.

This Committee has been working together over the last 4 months, looking at several sites and talking with multiple property owners about possible acquisitions.

One site has met all of our qualifications for size and price, and we are currently working to acquire the site if possible.

However, in Frederick county this is an extremely bureaucratic, time consuming process . . . so until we have crossed the threshold of reasonable possibility, we don’t want to get ahead of Gods plan.

If for some reason this land does not receive approval during the feasibility study, we will continue our search.

By streamlining our expenses, we anticipate that we will save an estimated $100,000 to $150,000!

Changing our service and location time allows us to better manage our resources, while also preparing us for the exciting endeavor of building our new church home.

Answers To Some Commonly Asked Questions

Why not Sunday morning?

The Elders authorized a search for alternative service sites and times. Restoration Church at 7899 Opossumtown Pike is a viable option. In order to move our church location to Restoration Church’s building, we would need to also move our worship service time to Saturdays, as there are no Sunday service time slots available.

What about people that cannot attend on Saturday afternoon?

We recognize that Saturday evening might not work for everybody, so we may offer an Express Sunday Worship Service. This shorter service will consist of a worship set and the Saturday message. More details will be announced.

Our vision has always been to be a church of the city. How will we continue to serve the city at our new location?

Strong Tower will continue to impact the city directly and indirectly through our partnerships:

  • S.W.A.G. Mentoring for middle school girls

  • I Believe In Me Youth Mentoring

  • Fellowship of Christian Athletes

  • Crossed Bridges

  • Waterboyz

  • Department of Social Services

  • Frederick Rescue Mission

  • Care Net Frederick

  • Faith House

  • our new Addiction Recovery Ministry

. . . and many more.

We will continue to directly sponsor Church WithOut Walls events inside the city.

When will KidZone meet?

Saturday, during our 5:00 PM service.

When will middle school and high school meet?

Students and Parents in youth will be polled to see what day and time work best for them.

Why is the church moving out of the city?

After years of fasting and prayer, God has provided a possible opportunity to purchase and build a permanent home for Strong Tower, that is only 2.6 miles outside of city limits. This land is within our financial capabilities, provides adequate parking, and will allow Strong Tower to continue growing for years to come.

How will the people who don't drive get to Restoration Church?

We will continue to offer the transportation ministry for Saturday evening services. Public transportation is also available.
